Aircraft Assembler

Position Description

Technical Skills Required:

• High School Education or equivalent
• Good basic Math (fractions and decimals)
• Minimum of 1-2 years of mechanical/line assembly experience an asset
• Must know how to use verniers
• Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and/or diagrams and put a part together based on it
• Manual dexterity
• Able to read and understand English (e.g. work order instructions)
• Some experience with using various hand tools, power tools and equipment, and air tools
• Good attention to detail, hand/eye coordination and must be results-oriented
• Must be able to complete assigned tasks according to established written/verbal instructions
• As employer works with chemicals, applicants should not have any scent sensitivities

Interpersonal Skills Required:

• Able to work in a dynamic, fast-paced changing environment
• Must have a strong sense of teamwork within the cell and cross the organization
• Must be detail-oriented
• Possess good trouble shooting skills
• Strong problem solving skills and able to use reasoning and creativity skills
• Must be motivated to improve oneself and suggest improvements for the company’s processes
• Demonstrate initiative
