Hours of Work: Two week Rotational Shifts, Days and Afternoons

Machining Team Leader

Position Description

Technical Skills Required:

• Completion of high school or high school equivalency; no direct work-related education necessary
• Must have a minimum of 3 – 5 years of numerically controlled machining experience; preferably experienced with up to 5 axis machines
• Must have CNC Machining experience
• Must have experience in leading others
• Theoretical & technical knowledge of practices, procedures and equipment within a relatively broad scope of the organization
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, quality systems, and continuous improvement processes
• Type of software knowledge required varies depending on area of supervision
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to make improvements to job-related processes; openly supportive of company goals and objectives; effective supervisory skills (ie. performance management)

Interpersonal Skills Required:

• Able to work in a dynamic, fast-paced changing environment
• Must have a strong sense of teamwork across the organization
• Must be detail-oriented and have effective communication skills
• Possess strong problem solving skills and troubleshooting abilities
• Strong problem solving skills and able to use reasoning and creativity skills
• Must be motivated to improve oneself and suggest improvements for the company’s processes
• Demonstrate initiative and have excellent time management skills
• Flexible and energetic, with the ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Ability to learn quickly and be self motivated in a dynamic environment.
